My brother-in-law is one of the busiest retirees I know. He writes, paints, hikes, gardens,takes care of his extended family, and then there's his passion - bee keeping. He takes incredibly good care of them, to him they are a metaphor for life, and they reward him with excellent honey. For me, he's doing his part in his corner of the world to save Mother Nature.

ReplyDeleteColette, I study french and last year I reported on the many bee hives that are on the roofs of Paris monuments, like the Paris Opera, for example. Bee keepers sell the honey in the city, and when I get there again, I hope to buy some. Your B-I-L probably is aware of that. I'm wondering if other cities throughout Europe are also finding unusual places for their hives?
