Yesterday went by without me noticing, and I missed my Monday blog post. I felt strangely rudderless. Everything was frozen, and I don't just mean the weather. By evening, I pushed myself; there are things that have to be done and giving in to lethargy has to be temporary (yes, I do give in a little). I made a list of very important things that have to be done this month, put it aside, and decorated some textile fish that I had made a while back.
Baby steps.

I did everything on my list today, except the laundry. There are limits, after all.

My doctor sent me for an X-ray just to make sure my foot was in order, and confirmed that the swelling takes a long time to end. That was something of a concern, so my mind is now at rest. The X-ray is to make sure the knuckle is OK, so as to avoid any arthritic complications down the road. I have a very thorough doctor.

For fun, I made one of my fish...

I'm making my fishes for my sister's birthday next month. It's OK if she sees this because I asked her to choose something and, being fond of my fishes, she requested them. She already owns some of the fishes I made for Somerset Life. I scattered them around the Stampington offices and my friend Julie's kitchen, when I was in Santa Barbara a while back.

Speaking of which, that article, Catch of the Day, is being featured in Handcrafted which will be published July 1. It's one of my favourite articles that I've written for the magazines.

Fish on Wednesday.

The lacey netting was a gift from my friend Jackie. I loved it on sight, knowing it would be perfect for something... And so it was!

My fish are available here.

Lovely weather; the grass is greening and I'm taking big breaths. New foliage must clear the air because it smells so good.

Last night I worked on my Etsy hearts shop. All my stuffies will now be listed there. Hearts and birdies and fish... My fish debuted in Somerset Life about three or so years ago. I happened to be in California and picked them up from Stampington while on a visit with them, and had a fun time giving them away. They are kind of appealing; you really wouldn't want to eat them!

Catch of the day.
