Christmas gift for you

My little birdies are back. I printed my drawing on fabric and stitched them onto ATC-size cards. Instead of waiting until my 1,000th post, which is coming up, for my giveaway, I've decided to have my giveaway now.
Give me one good thought in a comment, and I'll put your name in the hat. But please make sure I can contact you when it's over.

Draw date: this coming Friday.

  17. My good thought goes out to thinking of the wonderful community we have created with all us strong, beautiful women out here in blog land (every last one of us!) where we can support each other's art and causes that matter to us.

  18. I think this is a wonderful thoughtand way of being:

Let the beauty that you love be the work that you do ~ Rumi

It's wonderful for artists but also applies well to beautiful concepts like love, peace, and compassion.

I've only just discovered your lovely blog but have admired your birds for a long time. Thanks for sharing a bit of yourself with us!

    Hi,from a book i can't put down.
We came to learn how to create our desires , fulfill our dreams , prosper, and take this exquisite experience called 'being physical' to it's zenith. We came to experience the good with the bad, that we might learn how to choose likes over dislikes.
    So have them !
Take your treasured dreams out of that crowded old closet, dust them off with loving care, and give each one a long, hard look.

When I was a young girl of 14, I had a poster of a beautiful horse. I loved horses. The poster also said:

"Within me lies the power, to seize the hour, and live my dreams."

I am 52 now, and that poster and its saying have stuck in my heart all those years. At 14, my home life was very bad - no details, but the saying on the poster held power for me, and I have lived a blessed life with a dear hubby of 38 years, a wonderful son, a number of horses, cats, dogs, a peaceful home, fulfilling career and all the art a girl could want.

I am more thankful than words can express. Merry Christmas ~ Eileen Terwilliger, Anchorage, Alaska.
