The News from Ireland

The phone rang: someone was buzzing me from the lobby.

"I have a package for Colette Copeland," said the male voice,"it's addressed to my apartment number by mistake," and he gave me his apartment number.

Mystified, I said, yes, I was she. Could he leave it with the doorman?

The doorman wasn't there. He started to say something, when the call was terminated (these door buzzer calls are time-limited).

A couple of minutes later, I grabbed my keys to go downstairs; I opened the door... and there he was holding out a small package.
Bless you! I said. "You're welcome," he answered.

I opened the envelope, and then it dawned on me. The cuff that I'd won in Bonzie's draw. I'd completely forgotten. I've blogged about my friend Bonzie. You really have to see her creations up close and real to appreciate them fully. Thank you, Bonzie. I'm looking forward to eating pie under the apple tree in your garden ;)

P.S. It fits perfectly.

  1. Colette,
What a lovely story about your cuff delivery! was he hunky too?? that would make it all the more perfect. ;)

Did I make an error on the address?? I hope not Colette, that would have been a real shame had you won a piece that didn't bother to show up for you.

Im glad you got it safe. ;)
    hugs for your kind appreciation.
