Looking for ideas on how to use old buttons, this happened last night. When I say "happened," I mean just that. I wasn't thinking, or planning, to use a cluster of them together; my hands just went their own merry and way did it. This is one of my all-time favorite pieces. Normally I don't mind parting with my art because there's always more to take its place, and it is my business after all, but this one will be difficult.

How the pieces all fell together in your hands is amazing...i love the softness of the colors, and there is something in the idea of being at home to me...see how she has a next behind her (isn't it) and at the same time cradled in the lacey flower? ReplyDeleteYou are right about the "magic" placement of the button cluster... their color (the buttons) picks up the background of the floral print!
I can see why this is one of your favorite pieces. I think your color scheme is absolutely wonderful, and the composition is great too. I love the muted colors far more than the vivid ones.
