Spending a lazy day on Labour Day. I saw this fungus on the trunk of a very old tree while walking in my neck of the woods. I am incredibly lucky to be living in "countryside" surroundings within a big cosmopolitan city.
There is a park at the top of this hillock, and a ravine on the other side. And trees, so many wonderful trees....

Friday's child
It's been the week of electronic mayhem. Upgraded programs are becoming more complex and confusing, giving you a host of additions that you'd never use anyway. The worst part is that the older programs are made obsolete so you can't get them anymore and you're forced to get the new stuff, which of course, costs more money. I sometimes think that making a previous program obsolete is just to force money out of you, and to me that's just unethical.
Then I opened a certain program to design and print new business cards, and the "new" program wouldn't talk to the old one (where my files reside) so I had to start from scratch. Both programs are made by the same company, the one that monopolizes everything... It's enough to make you turn to drink!
Anyway, I managed to get everything back to a place where I'm comfortable using my computer again, and no sooner had I done that, a friend dropped in asking if I could help with getting the contacts on his old phone to his new phone. We managed that too.
Suffice it to say that I have a love-hate relationship with electronics.
One antidote: visualize something like this photo and get calm.......

I tried a little experiment with my camera: walking around my living room taking photos randomly to see what would come up. It was literally point-and-shoot. I'd been changing items on my wall and had put down this wooden mask on the armchair and forgotten about it. He must have got bored waiting for me to put him back on the wall, and fell asleep...
