It's been a busy week with appointments and visits, and now I am busily making stuff for my shop. I haven't made these in a long time, but some interesting fabrics came my way.........

If it's almost Hallowe'en, Christmas can't be far behind.

I made myself a reminder. Some Christmassy stock has to be made very soon. Just like magazines, this business requires working months in advance. This year, I've decided to stitch words on my ornaments, as well as offer personalized ornaments -- the customer gets to choose the word or name. ....is loving and giving. The tiniest heart I've made yet. It's in a box for display only, because hearts shouldn't be kept in boxes, they should be free, open, loving.

St. Jude

It's hard not to like a saint who is the patron of "lost causes". that's why I like st. Jude -- or the idea of St. Jude. I think a better description would be patron saint of almost-lost causes. After all, if the cause were lost, why would you pray for it??

Yesterday I replenished some supplies, and continued with the hearts. Today's medal is St. Theresa of Avila. The heart is cut from a vintage napkin, soft and a little silky, small, about 5 inches long all of which made it a little hard to handle. But I do love the result!
