Some things creep up on you when you're not looking.
Like this little dress.
I cut out the shape and forgot about it. When I saw it again, I didn't like the shape so out came the scissors. My head told me to draw the outline first, but the other voice said just get on with it, snip snip. So I did.
 A couple of days later, I stitched the outline to the background, and the rest came in fits and starts. Try this, discard that, the phone rings or you have to go out, and it gets forgotten again. Until you sit down to relax and your eye hits the dress and another idea pops into your head, and so it goes until it's finished.

Some fabric scraps are too precious to discard. They can be used as part of a patchwork, but they can also be embroidered. I can see this attached to a mat board and framed and hung on a wall.

 My family album dress is finished and is in the shop. No machines were used in the making of it! I carries my Belgian pin, an antique that I've hoarded for long enough, a bird with the Ghent coat of arms.

Working on another dress. It's bigger than usual, and I decided to stitch by hand rather than use the sewing machine. Ribbon and wire can be looped through the "shoulders" for hanging.

 So, the doglet is now living in her new condo at Davisville, on Merton. After delivering her to her beloved keeper, I stopped at a grocery store where I discovered Persian ice cream: saffron and pistachio. All I can say is that I need to stay away from it because it is addictive!

Meanwhile, I want to thank the weather for all the sunshine.

I loved this dress so much ....

....  that I made another one. It's a size bigger than the first one. And that takes care of the two little hangers that I bought years ago because I thought they might be useful some day.

They will both be going to Glitter Market this coming Saturday! Which means I'm leaving for Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Works with brown paper. Heavy, light, or in-between, give me brown paper and I'll make something. But don't ask me to explain my attraction to this simple, basic paper. It just is.

 Over here, it's back to work. I've restocked my shop and two article deadlines are looming.
