Wacky birds are my specialty. I draw them with love and a lot of humour. The birds forgive me for taking liberties. I know because they told me so!!

Is it "mark making" or merely scribbling? Probably a little of both. When it's controlled, it can become a picture, a scene, a landscape. Whatever you want to call it, it's a great exercise in drawing, and it's very freeing.

Yesterday slipped through my fingers and all of a sudden it's Friday. Until this morning, I thought today was Thursday. It's disconcerting to say the least. Strong winds are blowing and throwing me off-time... In my life of feast or famine, it's feast time, so I'm working all hours. When I get overwhelmed, I sit down and draw or paint little watercolours.
This one is a little gift for an old friend who has retired to her native England, somewhere in Surrey.

Don't let the wind blow you away, especially in that Yonge St. wind tunnel.

A foggy day in Toronto Town!
The temperatures rose, the snow melted and the fog settled. The doorman let me know that the whole Eastern Seaboard was under fog. Still, you could see enough to move around.

At least there was no wind. Wind in the winter means wind chill.

If you know me, you know that I go through phases. I'm coming out of a textile art/sewing phase and entering a drawing phase. More drawings to come in when it's daylight and I can photograph them.
