On my wall today. A drawing with a brush and acrylic paint on a huge piece of paper. Because I felt like it! I love the feeling of spreading the paint in large, bold strokes and seeing what will happen.

 Then there is this small piece which took much longer, but was equally satisfying to make.

I woke up to snow this morning, a thin layer covering everything. Pretty, until it all turns into slush underfoot and under traffic.

I've been working with cardboard again. I wanted to make something entirely mine, not using anyone else's methods, and came up with this. I used bookbinder's thread for the stitching and reinforced the back with bookbinder's tape.

 And this little scrap of cardboard couldn't go to waste...

 I've spent the last few days mostly indoors nursing a cold that came on suddenly and mercifully is almost gone, leaving me tired. Armed with herbal teas and occasionally hot chocolate, I've whiled away the hours making little things.

This is still my favourite face (thank you, Teesha Moore).

Adding colour to the day's greyness.

I've been dipping into my Lynne Perrella books Alphabetica and Artists' Journals, both a riot of colour, and it always has this effect on me.
