Excavation of my work space continues. I call it excavation because I'm unearthing so much that I'd forgotten about. I'm finding things that slipped into piles of paper where they had no business being.

I was very happy to come across these altered cabinet cards that I had worked on many, many moons ago. I would have never found them (not that I was looking because they had fallen into the Lake of Forgetfulness) had I not been excavating cleaning up and tossing out the rubbish...

Finishing things

I don't remember when I bought this huge cabinet card or even if I knew what I was going to do with it, given its size. I collect smaller ones, and only ones that appeal to me. Alter it, I thought. So I started, but I got bored with it. I didn't really know what to do next. I put it aside and moved to something else. I have a surfeit of ideas rolling around in my brain: with me it's never about artist's block, but wanting to do too much all at once, so I've learned to set something aside and move onto something else, knowing that it's be finished when the time is right. I recommend it!

Happy Valentine's Day!
