For my friend Sandra who taught me how to knit these sweet little egg cosies, among other things, when I was in Wales a short while ago.
They are waiting to be felted. I tried felting a couple of them by hand, rather than in the washing machine, as per her instructions, and it's working.

A package arrived from the Welsh Connection. They're called Sandra and Grace. Grace is Sandra's grandchild and she's shaping up to be a future artist. Sandra has an Etsy shop full of wonderful creations as well as these Welsh lovespoons.

I have a dear friend in Wales whom I hope to visit one day on one of my forays across the Atlantic. The knitting bug has nipped her too, and she is creating some very beautiful items, like these pillows. I'm hoping she will be re-stocking her Etsy shop soon.

Etsy finds
I'd been looking at and reading about Welsh love spoons, when I spied that my friend in Wales had created cards with...Welsh love spoons. And snippets of Welsh wool. Naturally, I bought one. Sandra has a wonderfully quirky instincts (Be odd, she says, and I say, Hear, hear), which is just one reason we are great friends. I'm so glad she's finally opened an Etsy shop. Click on her name and have a look for yourself.
