A Bird in the Hand

This is what I painted last night, actually past midnight. I was too fidgety to read or go to bed, so I did the one thing that calms me down. I painted. When it was finished, I saw a woman who persists and overcomes. That's been my life so far, so you could call this a biographical painting.

Nevertheless, she persisted. Mixed media on 9x12 watercolour paper.
