Today I switched from watercolour to acrylics. For me, with acrylics, the paper has to be just right and I find vellum mixed media paper ideal. It takes acrylic paint very smoothly.
In other news, my waxy paintings are in Somerset Studio, Jan. 1 issue. This was one of my favourite series of paintings and I'm very happy to share them.

I've been wanting to look into painting with waxes, will pick up the magazine. I'm was into bees lately so wax is on my mind. Eva and I hope to get a hive this spring, as I am allergic to bee stings ...not sure I can do it. love the dizzy bird too! so fun.
