Some paintings immediately bring to mind literary works. Usually French because my schooling was French.
First there was Baudelaire
Now there's Jean-Paul Sartre (Le Mur/The Wall)

Acrylic-painted background covered in plaster cloth, sanded and painted.

    call me fickle if you like Colette....I gazed at this last night and wasn't sure whether it was my cup of tea....came back for another look today...and the minute I saw it I thought 'Oooooh this is growing on me...how mad is that!...It's all to do with the blue paint making it's way down the canvas...if that makes sense!
