I began my artistic career with watercolours. I have a suitcase full of them. They make me quite nostalgic, remembering how I would paint all the way into the wee small hours. Time meant nothing; I was in another world.
Colette, I discovered your blog this afternoon, and I've spent the last several hours completely captivated by your words and your lovely art projects, clicking on "Older posts" all the way back to April 2006! I love your creativity and your positive outlook. Thank you so much for the inspiration and entertainment!
Beautifully done. I love that you used such saturated colors and filled the paper. Please show us more from that suitcase! And I so know what you mean about working on something creative into the night and losing that sense of time. I do that when I take an art class or am sewing, and I'm not even tired the next day. It's wonderful.
.......I am absolutely blown away by these Colette!...is there anything at all that you cannot do? ........ I don't think there is! You are multi talented beyond belief!
It's me again!....I can't stop staring at these Colette...I keep coming back online to look at them!...your eye for colour and form is extraordinary! If I attempted to do that it would end up looking like mud! Your colours are mingling ...yet they are separate! You just never fail to amaze me!!! Anon x
PRIVATE!!! THIS IS NOT FUNNY!!!.....YOU CAN STOP THIS AS SOON AS YOU LIKE!!!...I CAME BACK ONLINE TO STUDY THESE BEAUTIFUL LITTLE WATERCOLOURS AND NOW YOU HAVE GONE AND LISTED THIS FABULOUS LITTLE BIRD ON FLIPPIN ETSY!!! MONEY DOESN'T GROW ON TREES!!!!!!
Colette, I am loving your watercolors! I have been splashing around with watercolors this week myself, and quickly falling in love with this medium! I love your loose style, and the brilliant colors. I am still learning about paints and brushes, and was wondering what watercolor paints you prefer? Thanks for sharing these lovely paintings!
Love your watercolours Colette...I've been playing with water colours too. Love how the colours blend and react on the paper. Preferring it to acrylic and gouache at the moment.
