Story of the Day

[Paper doll, available on eBay]

[edit. This is not about me. I don't have a car. I was just an observer.)

A "To Serve and Protect" pulled up, the policeman got out and crossed over to an illegally parked car. Just then, she came flying across the road, a little middle-aged woman waving her shopping bags.

Tsk, tsk, he chided her, and walked back to his car. (No, she did not get a ticket.)

That's very nice of you, I said.

He smiled, and drove away.

  1. I wish the cops were nice here, I do not trust them after what happened with me almost 3 years ago! (I was wrongfully accused of a hit and run car accident)

  3. What a wonderful story of the holiday spirit! The people in Canada are so much more civil than here in Wisconsin.

The last time we were in Toronto, my husband hesitated a bit while looking for a place to park, and the man behind us (who was understandably annoyed at our indecision) simply drove by and said, "Thank you, Sir!" That is so much nicer than the one-finger wave which is so common here.

Love your blog and art (and Toronto)!

    Best wishes and Happy Holidays!

  4. You are sweet.
    As always.

I wish to extend my most sincere apologies for all of the harm that I have caused you,

    with no excuses.

My behavior was rude and unacceptable.

    I am sorry.

    - if you do not recall who i am - just accept this as an apology from all persons who sincerely owe you one...

well at least one person in particular, who was terribly rude and inconsiderate, and who should have said this years ago.

    I'm sorry.
