Home front

[Photo: Work in progress: a little dress from my Copeland family stuff]

Do you ever get the feeling after you've come home that you were never really away? This is how it feels, except that I have a host of wonderful new memories, some I daresay have changed me a little and to the good!

It's nice to get back to the editorial offices with my colleagues, even if they do throw translations at me, but even though it's not my favorite thing to do, I'm grateful for the extra income.

It's also good to be back in production, my Etsy shop and eBay restocked, and working on several items. I dreamed I had this wonderful and huge apartment; as I was exploring it I noticed a light-filled corridor to my left and made a mental note to explore it because someone was pulling me away to go somewhere else. I told Catherine about it, and she asked me what I thought was beyond the corridor. I said: a home, a studio, garden, and the perfect (for me) husband to share my life. "The Universe is always on time," she answered.

Have a happy day!

  1. That's a very interesting dream; perhaps your subconscious hinting of good things to come. Glad you're settling back in and keeping busy with your art - but with a lighter heart. xo

oh & I do know how it is when you return home from being away - sometimes I wonder if it was all a dream, but I just have to close my eyes to re-member..xox

This is adorable. It reminds me of when I was little. Can’t wait to see more.

  4. I am soooo far behind on blogs and commenting. I am ever so delighted that your trip was all you hoped it would be. I can almost sense you are feeling more relaxed and peaceful. I loved the photo of you and the other women, you are one classy gal! I would love to see more photos of Ireland...a place I do long to see one day!
    XOXOXO
