Day of rest

I made my list of things to do, then promptly took the day off. I mailed a couple of things and met Martha at Arton on Queen St. West. I found a chain I wanted for a necklace I'm making for myself, got some good advice from Martha who knows everything, then we went to Starbucks (because the other café wasn't air-conditioned!) and followed with an amble up Spadina with a stop at a Chinese pastry shop where I got my favorite sesame balls still warm from the oven -- yes, I ate them both while we walked -- and we had a look around Gwartzman, not our favourite art store, however.

Tomorrow will be busy as I tackle The List.

One week to go before I leave!

Have a sweet day!

  1. Hello dahling! I've been so remiss in not commenting here but do know I read! I am so happy for your upcoming trip. I googled clafouti and Wicklow Hills...both sound delicious in different ways. I hope you'll share photos, I've always wanted to go to Ireland! Perhaps you could pick up a small stone on your hike in the hills??
Loving all your new pieces here btw!
Sending love and hugs your way,
    Lisa
    XOXOXO

  3. Sounds like the perfect day. (I'm with you on Gwartzman's--the staff is usually gnarly there, or so I've found).
