A new week (What!! Again!??!)

My sleeping patterns have gone back to normal, and it feels wonderful. When you stop worrying about something, and just do your best, things often get resolved. I've maintained my daily yoga practice now that I've broken out of the "I'll do it later" syndrome which inevitably led to forgetting and not doing it later. I know this is contributing to my overall well-being. The other day, I got home with a hunger that was almost making my stomach cramp; I thought I would eat dinner first and do my yoga later. But instead, I rolled out my mat and by the time I'd finished, I realized my stomach was peaceful and ready for dinner. I don't have anyone to give me that extra push -- I have to do it myself. And that is the lesson here.

Have a happy day.

  1. "Strong Body, Weak Mind" is my new Mantra for when I don't think I can practice my Yoga on some days...that usually get's me on the mat really quickly!
It also helps having Yoga buddies!

  6. Morning Colette! First off let me say that I LOVE this piece so much. That photo is precious and the lace and velvet add such a nice feel. It's my favorite one yet and that says a lot because I love them all! Bravo!
Second, I so hope you weren't offended by yesterday's post. I love Monty Python and Terry Gillam's work:) I just wasn't trying for that look. I was trying to be serious and moving. LOL! After the tears stopped he informed me that he thought I would be flattered. Got to love the men folk:)

  8. Love this piece and you're so right about the "I have to do it myself" mantra. This applies to everything, not just yoga. xo

Hi Colette, I found just found your lovely blog. You are right about needing to be disciplined and not putting things off.

I have been intending to go for a walk since 7am and it is now 1.30! I will go out now that you have reminded me to push myself.

If you are downtown, drop by and say hello. I have a stall in the south building of St Lawrence Market from Wednesday to Saturday.
