Friday's child is in production

In the summer months, my editorial work is halved, which gives me more time to work on my own production. So while the continent is picknicking and setting off fireworks, I will be at my work table making things. Bliss!
What is not blissful, though, is that because of a computer problem I'm unable to update my website. The Computer Genius is coming on Tuesday to fix it. I surprised myself by not pulling my hair out trying to fix it myself, but after I had done all I could, I let it go. Computer Genius had to come and install some more RAM anyway, so I just called him, and remained calm. I like this thing that's been happening to me lately: observing myself as if I were out of my body and seeing how much I've grown...

  1. Hi Colette, thanks for the comment on my blog today- that phrase "you do this so well" really means a lot to me!! And I love your story about the angel statue below!

  2. Good for you for not pulling your hair out! HA! Seriously, it is a great feeling to let things go and not worry...It all works out in the end , if you just let it flow! I am looking at my very cool Paris labels and wondering what I can make...hmmm!

  5. i do imagine you also to be so serene but we all do have our moments. :) i have been having those moments also---those observing oneself as if out of body. last night i was able to work through a grumpy mood and even saying no to ice cream when i wasn't hungry. normally it would have taken longer for the mood to pass and i would have eaten the ice cream just cause it was good. i have been more consistent with my yoga practice---which you helped kickstart again after reading a post here at your blog--thank you!, and i listened to a louise hay cd yesterday. :)
    have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Your serenity and peace of mind is contagious my friend...through your art and blog and just your being.. I've learned so much. Thursday, Dh and I had a visit with our banker and renewed our note on our farm and instead of stressing about it like I always do I flowed with it and chatted with him and it went really well. He even took an interest in "what" and "how" I was doing! ( my vineyard) In the past he was focused on DH and his business. Cool, eh? Also..I love the start here of the delicious art you are creating. xxxooo
