Mission accomplished

As a wedding gift for one of my oldest and dearest friends, I wanted to create a memory book of the wedding. For weeks I looked for just the right journal but couldn't find one that clicked. Then I thought, why not alter an old book? I found one in my collection that was the right size and started preparing it. When I noticed the title, from a quote by Red Hawk, well, it was perfect and I knew my intuition had steered me right again.

And so I disappeared to that place with no name and worked on the book over the last few days, sometimes obsessively, other times piecemeal. I covered it in purple silk (the bride's color). Today, it was finished! It's truly a labor of love, which is why it's only the second one I've done of its kind!

Have a happy Sunday!
