I've had this blog for a year now, and when I started it in April '06 at the urging of the divine Miss M (no, not Bette, but Lauren (www.alicelands.typepad.com) , little did I know what really good things would come out of it.
One of them was to own a piece of art by a folk artist whose work I came across a few years ago, Jessie LaVon (http://jessielavon.blogspot.com/). We did a swap recently and these pieces, leaning appropriately on a fox carved out of a branch by a well-known Canadian folk artist, Earl Renz, are now mine to enjoy. Jesse also generously included some vintage sequins and trims that will show up in my own art.
Yes, we are all connected!
