Friday's child, lace and pralines

Along with my love for vintage velvet millinery flowers, I have a love of antique and vintage lace. These pieces are from my time in Ireland where I used to hunt down old Irish lace. The jabot to the left is 18th-century. The handwork is incredible.

Praline makers in my favorite shop in New Orleans (for Tara, especially)

I'm pressed for time right now, so I'll let my pictures speak for me! Until later...

  1. I love all kinds of fibers. Your pieces are great. I have some good ones from Gozo/Malta, not vintage though.

    I love the bird-art.

  5. There is something so wonderful about old lace, the work that went in to it - the designs. Ireland is on my "must go" list. I adore these quilties, you have the most amazing bird images.
