Nurturing

This collage was a gift from a special young woman. I was delighted to receive it and I mean to nurture her talent along. I want her to go from "I think I will fly" to "I am flying". Because she has "it", that something that's innate and can't be learned. She has used paper, fabric, and an original photo. I will treasure this piece.

Her name is Lauren and she is the daughter of my dearest Jenny (Kansas Rose). Lauren and I share the same birthday.

I cannot describe the feelings that went through me when I opened her envelope and saw this collage, a couple of tags that she made, two vintage postcards and sweet note included (with beautiful penmanship, I should add). I'm going to have a lot of pleasure putting together an envelope for her -- but I have to work on my penmanship!!
