Tagged by the Lovely Tara (parisparfait)
“Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside”;
I don’t like to be out of my depth in water.
I do like smooshing paint around on a big blank canvas;
I don’t like cleaning up afterwards.
I do like staying up late working on my various art projects;
I don’t like going beyond the point of no return and having insomnia.
I do like people who think before they speak;
I don’t like people who confuse honesty with saying anything that comes into their heads.
I do like discretion;
I don’t like exhibitionism.
I do like the Wicklow Hills in Ireland;
I don’t like the wet weather that makes them green….
I do like to travel;
I don’t like the journey, a confusion of airports, crowds, long hours in line.
I do like my feathery little friends outside;
I don’t like that they start to chirp loudly at 4 a.m.
I do like a gougère made with unsalted butter and emmenthal cheese;
I don’t like that I have to watch my inherited cholesterol levels.
I do like logical thinking;
I don’t like rigid thinking.
I do like people who can show their emotions/affection/etc.;
I don't like it when people go overboard either way, and especially when they fake it.
I do like children; I don't like that I never had any.

...that last line just didn't seem fair.
ReplyDeleteOh, Colette thank you for doing this! Your post is so interesting; it's fun getting to know a little more about each other this way. But I agree with Corey, that last bit isn't fair.
ReplyDeleteI have read a lot of these I do/I don't lists, but yours sets me thinking in all kinds of directions. It is revealing of lovely parts of yourself while also being challenging. Nice to meet you.
