When the atmospheric conditions outside are heavy, the work inside is cool and light.
I love designing cards using just rubber stamps. They have to be just right -- like this stamp from Paperbag Studios, with Cavallini stamp details. The Paperbag Studios stamp appealed to me because it's a sweet message written by grandparents to their grandchild.
The bonus with these cards is that they can be framed in small shabby frames and look like a million dollars. Easy and economical!
Stay cool (unless you're in Australia!).
Simplicity is the removal of the useless and the unnecessary--source unknown

Altering postcards is usually about painting and sanding the postcard, then adding artwork over it.
For me it's more about adding to the postcard than altering it, and telling a very brief "story". I truly enjoy doing this. This is the story of the antelope that wanted to fly...to do so, it also needed better eyesight to avoid accidents (since there is no Control Tower for flying creatures)...
And -- because I can't help myself: a collaged painting, Running towards her destiny...?

Another week....
Blogger has been down until now, so I couldn't post earlier. But I may have waited anyway because I was called in by my former employer, the Medical Post, to help out today. It's been a few years since my job was cut, but it was interesting how I slid right back into my former job. I do work for them once in a while, but it's translation work that I do from home. It was good to reconnect with old friends and colleagues. And to get all the latest medical news.
Meanwhile.................

This is how I alter postcards. I tell very, very brief stories.
I once entered a competition called Short Short Short Short Short Short Fiction. My entry was: World War. Love in the ruins. You can say a lot in just a few words. It's an art!!!
