A fresh blank canvas. I applied paint with a wide brush, then wiped it off because it wasn't working. I left the right-hand section because I liked it. The rest of the painting will grow from there. Something abstract or semi-abstract. For the moment, I'll leave it alone.
It started in landscape format.
When I turned it around (portrait format), I found it more interesting. So... another decision has to be made. How the painting evolves will dictate the format.
Simplicity is the removal of the useless and the unnecessary--source unknown
