A Bird in the Hand

Our unseasonably warm weather continues. It won't be a white Christmas. But it's nice to be able to open the windows and let the fresh air come in.

A good friend and I had a early Christmas gift exchange and among the treasures was an antique lace sampler. It's absolutely beautiful and it speaks to me in a quiet, mysterious way.

I wasted no time in framing it in an old, broken, beloved frame, and hanging it on my wall.
