Stitched paper and fabric collage.

I didn't plan on it, but I did think my sewing machine was feeling neglected because I haven't used it in a long time. I do a lot of my sewing by hand these days, and I've been painting a lot, and the old girl was beckoning.

This evening, an art show that I'm a part of is opening at the Dignam Gallery, Women's Art Association of Canada. I don't normally show in galleries so this is a big thing for me. Fingers crossed!

  2. Glad the sewing machine was calling you...and that you heeded its call. Love the texture and movement that the stitches add. Good luck with the gallery show!

  4. Your fabric collage is lovely - stitching whether by machine or hand adds such beauty to your pieces. Congratulations on the show, I hope the opening went well.
