A small accident changes the whole picture.
This accident could have ruined the whole piece, but I'm not one to give up (and in the process waste my canvas and my work). I dropped some liquid onto the photo, said liquid interacted with the ink and I didn't like what happened, so I painted over the accident (the face).
I could have called it "Anonymous" and left it there, but it really needed something-something.
One small touch makes all the difference. I can now call it Portrait of the Artist (in search of herself -- haha!)
Simplicity is the removal of the useless and the unnecessary--source unknown
