Thank you so much, dear readers, for your kind comments.

This was the scene today:

The Highway of Heroes/Autoroute des héros as the hearse carrying Cpl Nathan Cirillo's body heads home to Hamilton. (Soldiers who die overseas are driven down this section of the Highway. There is always a turnout on the bridge and the side the of the road to honour their passing.) Cpl Cirillo will be given a full regimental funeral on Tuesday. Funeral arrangements for Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who had also served as a military firefighter, have not been finalized.

Nathan Cirillo's dogs waiting for him. This photo broke my heart.

  1. Oh dear the tears are flowing. Our own bit of the world had a very sad day yesterday with the shooting and death of two officers and separately the killings at yet another school. Prayers and Healing Energy for our World...

    1. I join you in that. Thank you. xo

  2. I have visited this post several times Colette and to be honest ...

  3. I am totally and utterly stuck for words!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate each and every one of you.
