A Bird in the Hand

It's been a pleasant Thanksgiving weekend. For me, holidays are usually on the quiet side, although I did have two dinner guests yesterday, when I served up roast beef and all the trimmings because a turkey is just beyond me.

Today, I painted. The work is still in progress, and the subject is my lovely niece who loves butterflies. It will be probably go in the art show that I'm preparing for, a group show that will open Nov. 21, at the Dignam Gallery.  I expect to finish it sometime tomorrow.
