A Bird in the Hand

 Today is a holiday, and thanks to my bestie, I got out of the house and down to the Distrillery district which was buzzing with people enjoying the day off.

I was thinking about my favourite childhood books in English (I had French ones, too), and Just William (William series by Richmal Crompton) and his female counterpart, Just Jane (a series by Evadne Price) came to mind. I absolutely loved these books, written decades before my birth. The books are still available and William is also on film. Anyway, this image popped up, and I painted it.
