I have a beautiful photograph of my nephew holding his first child and I wanted to make something special with it. A canvas, gel medium and a print later, I'm having to wait 24 hours for it to dry. I'm both impatient and apprehensive because transferring photos to canvas is not my forte. But I had to try. If it doesn't work, I'll paint over it. If it does, I'll be very, very happy.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out how best to adhere these book spines, without flattening them, onto an album cover....

I think a hot glue gun or silicone glue would be your best options.

  2. Maybe a thin layer of foam core behind each spine??

  3. Or you could use a heavy gel medium as it stays as thick or thin as you apply it. Wouldn't take much and it would hold really well over the long term too. Great piece!

  4. nothin' beats plain old craft foam sheets, easy to cut, easy to glue, and they are pliable...

use them to fill the space between the book covers and the support
