I found the sorbello stitch in my copy of Stitch Sampler. I liked the look of it and have been using it in a small way. Then I had the idea of covering a piece of linen with it, and a few rows down I decided to break it up with the alphabet, sampler style. The sorbello often looks square but I rounded up my corners because I prefer the look. The knots are also often connected, but mine are separate. Again, it's just my preference.

Embroidery can be addictive, especially if you fall in love with certain knots!
