After ecstasy, the laundry.
[Zen observation]

I tea-dyed a batch of muslin using the tea bags I made iced tea with. I like that they get "recycled" this way. I've never been a fan of using old tea bags in collage work, but I'm all for using them for dyeing fabric. Tea gives a very subtle pink tone to the muslin.

  1. I like to always peak at what you are creating even though I don't always comment. I'm feeling a little blue today so I left your page open. That music is still soooo soothing. Thank you! :)

  2. Very pretty; I love the way the color saturated the muslin~ I love the tattered, torn elements~

  3. Darn, just lost my post! I love that little piece. I am afraid if I made something like that, it would just look like a mess! Yours looks like art! Love the dye. I just heard that Red Zinger makes a very pretty dye. Right now, I am dying with instant coffee and vanilla. Smells wonderful ;-) Suz

  4. This is a lovely peek at your collage. I do like the pink tinge of color to the muslin that the tea left behind. Happy creating...

  6. Lovely. I adore how different types of tea stain, from the softest yellows, sepia, rose. I will sometimes just take the warm tea bag and blot at the fabric, rather than immerse it in a tea dye bath, or maybe just rub the edges of something, haphazard-like. Basically, whatever makes me happy that day.
