Seeing beauty

When I saw this Japanese fabric at mantofev, I was taken by the leafy patterns and thought I could maybe cut it up for project. But when the fabric arrived and I opened up its silky folds, I saw its perfection. There will be no cutting of this fabric. I may hang it up, or I may even wear it around my shoulders, but it will remain intact.

Today was my mother's birthday. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her with love.

  2. Beautiful fabric... and I agree... it shouldn't be cut. My mom's birthday was June 22... and like you I remember her fondly daily... and imagine her with my family (especially my grandbabies) if she were here today.

  3. MantoFev is a terrific store. I, too, have lost my mother. She has been gone since I was eighteen and I carry that sadness always. I get it.

  5. I was on the phone with my Mom the other day. She is getting on in years...87 now, and she spoke of her Mother and Brother and Grandmother..all of whom have passed years ago, and how much she misses them....
