So -- what do you do on a wet and windy weekend? You go to work, then run over to the grocery store and go home. Settle down and practise doing something new. I've been wanting to crochet little flower shapes. I had some hemp string (a little unwieldy, but I like it) and looked up the how-to on the Internet. A little wonky, but I'm getting there. That's because I'm not very good at written instructions, especially when they're mysterious and known only to crocheters, so I have to figure it out myself. My friend Joy made me a bookmark that was perfect; now, if I could watch her work I would pick it up much faster....
They are very good for a first attempt Colette. I am sure you will soon get the hang of it and then make marvellous goodies with them!
ReplyDeleteAlso love your spring inspired ATCs ... so vibrant and jolly
Have a good week

Very cute, I can see these going on tags or other various artwork!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're off to a good start! So lovely. xoxox
ReplyDeleteooooooh!! This is a VERY Addictive past time....I think you are going to love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the crocheted flowers Colette. You have done them very well considering it is a new field for you. I tried crochet a couple of times but could never get the hang of it. I also like the flower ATC's and the little verse is perfection indeed.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to read about Gordon Hill too. I remember hearing his name years ago although I wasn't "into" football. How nice that he is still the same person he always was and great that his son has followed him into the sport.
They're looking good, and I know you will make them work. Your creativity is boundless.
