There's a bird outside my window with a squawky chirp that talks for about 5 minutes every morning at 2 a.m. I think it's suffering from insomnia because the chorus never begins before 4 a.m.
Your bird ATC's always make me smile Colette. And Fred sounds like he has a LOT of personality (it is a shame he doesn't express it a bit later in the day though!).
I bet it is a mocking bird (!). I used to have the same problem sending my husband out with a garden hose trying to reach the 30 foot redwood tree top where the bird sat...singing for us for hours all night long. I just never thought about using the bird in my art...that is just too much fun. I love your art by the way and can't wait to check out your blog.
Wow, I'm not going to complain anymore -- we have one that starts at about 5 am, and I thought THAT was bad! Actually, it's the bird my blog is named after; the chirp is cute ( a bit bossy!), just too early! :)
