What day is it?

I get confused at this time of year. It doesn't feel like Friday.
I've been thinking about art dolls. I've been wanting to make my own, not to copy other patterns, but to find my own style. This one, as usual followed no pattern at all, I made it up as I went along. The doll face image is a trade I did with my friend Susan. The lace part is actually an apron that ties in the back.

She replies to the name Magali, and says Bonne Année.

[Edit. for Anon the Elder: She's holding a red heart. xo]

  4. Maybe it is the bittersweet time year (taking down the christmas tree and decorations) but wouldn't a string of children like her circling a christams, holding hands, be just the dearest image!

I like to just jump into a project also, and find I do my best, most original work when there is very little planning. The red velvet heart is a nice touch - unexpected.
