Downtown, the Christmas lights are going up. Ashley's have erected the giant Christmas tree, the Santa parade is this Sunday. Like that. It all happens so quickly.
I used to send out a lot of cards; I pared down the list drastically a few years ago, and now I give the money to the Police Association for their Christmas dinner and gifts for children, as well as my regular Toronto charity for street kids. Even though I have to work hard and budget myself to the last dollar, I am comfortable compared to so many who are not. It's all relative.
