The quietness of a Sunday

We buried someone's ashes yesterday, a young man, good, talented, who left this world far too soon. It was done according to Ojibwa custom, and was very moving. I'm glad I made a point of attending, even though I didn't know him personally, just his aunts. Rest in peace, dear child, you're an eagle now, soaring high and beyond all earthly troubles.
