The quietness of a Sunday

We buried someone's ashes yesterday, a young man, good, talented, who left this world far too soon. It was done according to Ojibwa custom, and was very moving. I'm glad I made a point of attending, even though I didn't know him personally, just his aunts. Rest in peace, dear child, you're an eagle now, soaring high and beyond all earthly troubles.

  1. Death is always sad, but especially when it is a young person. he is now free to fly xoxo

  2. this touched my heart so very much. my mom is half cherokee.
