I was sorting out old photos, when I came across these. A blast from the past. They are from a photo shoot in Tunis, where I spent a month, before I left my Washington, D.C., home for Trinity College Dublin and -- unexpectedly -- a meeting with the man I was to marry.
The photos are languid; the heat was ferocious at times. I look at myself at that young age, and can hardly believe what I've lived between then and now.
