Books

A new friend, Becky, an author (coincidence? I think not!), has a nifty writeup on her blog today about Etsy, and a certain necklace... Do have a look. Becky is the author of French by Heart, and you can check her book at http://www.rebeccaramsey.com/. Most interesting, for me, is that it's set in Clermont-Ferrand, which, if my schoolgirl memory serves me, is in the Massif Central and has a link to Vercingetorix, the Gaulois chief who had the temerity to say No! to the Romans.

After all the books about expats in Paris or spending A Year in Provence, this is refreshing... I mean, a South Carolinian family in Clermont-Ferrand.....

Way to go, Becky!

And you're right about Clermont-Ferrand. It was an amazing place to live.

I'm still loving my fabulous necklace!
