Feels like Monday

Because it's a regular business day. I have to keep reminding myself that it's Thursday.

Last night, by chance, I caught a movie on the Quebec channel that just enchanted me: Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain. I believe the English-subtitled version was titled Amelie. And I remember when the movie came out someone saying they didn't like the tricks Amelie played on people and that it spoiled the movie for this person. Well, now that I've seen it, I beg to disagree. Amelie only played tricks on mean people; I mean, after watching that nasty grocer yelling at and hitting his not-too-bright employee, I would have done the same. Besides, her tricks were ingenious. I loved the whole movie, from beginning to end. It made me laugh out loud and it made me nostalgic because some of the scenes were in the Gare de l'Est, which I know so well.

  5. I loved Amelie. I saw the one with Audrey Tatou. She is a great actress and her eyes are so compelling. I hated the grocer too. Cruel people like that make me crazy. Lovely picture of your mother's friend and baby.
