Boxing Day

This little bird is one of many things my darling sister sent me for Christmas. It's heavy enough to be a paperweight, and it opens up so you can keep something precious in it. She hid it in a book box that you can see in the photo. And then there was the birdie ribbon....

Today is Boxing Day. I like Boxing Day. The city comes back to life, the hot dog and chestnut vendors are doing a great business, the sales are crowded. As for me I went straight to the Bell centre and got me a modem. I am going high-speed in three days! Why three business days you ask? Because it will take three days to activate me. I have been on dialup too long (don't ask). And, joining in the Boxing Day activities, I've listed some new collages on eBay.
Have a restful day!

  1. So pretty! That ribbon is lovely! Hot chestnuts sounds so great and Dickens-like.

  2. I love that the pace of things is slowed for Christmas but also love the returning to a more normal tempo when it has passed.

Now I'm off to see your collages. Your gifts from your sister are just perfect.

  8. Oh, YAY, high speed!! I couldn't live without it. I logged on my parent's dial up and gave up because I had 200 emails and it was taking 5 minutes each. So now I'm home, slogging through 300 + emails. Sorry, not slogging. "Enjoying each and every one" It will be a long night!
