Monday, Icy Monday

Collage on mat board, available on eBay

It's cold. Just the way February is supposed to be, but I also noticed the days are getting longer.

We worked late wrapping up this week's issue of the publication, and now I'm gearing up to tackle the pile of translations I have to do. But first, tomorrow, I will be dropping in to see Joan, a retired Globe and Mail reporter who has moved to my neighborhood; the friend she was sharing a house with died recently and she is now living in an apartment on Heath Street that I almost moved into before I found my present one (small world). Another former G&M-er, a close friend of mine, asked me to visit her, and so, chocolate-covered ginger chocolates in hand (her favorite -- which I found out through further research in the newspaper community) I will be knocking at her door.

(Note to Martha: My coat zipper did it again. I had to "step out" of it!!)

  3. You are such a good friend Colette. Am sure Jean will appreciate you thinking of her (and for bringing her favorite choccie).
