Weekend Roundup

It’s turned wet and misty, intensifying the red, orange and yellow of the leaves and leaving no doubt at all that it is autumn. What I really want is to curl up in front of the fire, cup of hot chocolate in hand, and think comforting thoughts. But I have no fireplace, and I’m out of hot chocolate. So a candle and a cup of coffee will have to do.

Yesterday, I went back to the Creative Show to finish up my rounds. I went with supply list in hand because having everyone under one roof would save me time and money. I found everything I was looking for, plus a bonus. A Canadian online store called Stamping Zoo, happy not far from Toronto, had a basket full of….wait for it….the Japanese Signo white pen. I squealed! The owner told me she always had a full stock. I had already gotten two from California, but I bought one more because the price made my eyes pop! Can.$4.75 at the show, a dollar more in the store. That’s around US$4.25 each. Since it had cost me Can.$22 for two pens and shipping, you can imagine how thrilled I was to come across this find.

So, I brought my supplies home and played.

  1. Congrats to Sammy. He has a wonderful Aunt!

Colette, these quilties are so wonderful. You are killing me! If I were rich, I'd buy everything you make before it ever made it to Ebay. LOL

Congrats on the pens. I've heard they're hard to come by.

  2. Beautiful, Colette. The two lovebirds also. Wish I had a fireplace and some hot chocolate and the season to go with it. I have 85 degree weather! Well, at least I have Gulf breezes and palm trees. You do beautiful work.
