Try new things

The week begins with sunny skies and no headaches.

While I love quilties, I really wanted to make a collage that was all fabric. So I did what I do with paper and thanks to my new sewing machine, voilà! A fabric collage. (The funky profile is from Teesha Moore. )

SO Very Beatiful!!!!! The whole piece is breathtaking. love the colors! Did you sew it onto cardstock? I've been wanting to do some fabric collage on tags lately, but haven't gotten around to it. I'm "playing" with other things now, but wow, this inspires me to do sooner than later! --Lia

p.s. no headaches is ALWAYS great (I had a migraine cluster last week, so I don't want any real or other kind of headaches this week!)

  3. So beautiful Colette! You are obviously enjoying your new sewing machine (yay). Lovely use of fabrics and images.

Glad you are headache free too.

  4. The sun is shining and it is a good day! :) The interplay of fabrics and lace and the profile here is so interesting...and draws me in. Does the lace piece happen to be Alencon? I bet your studio is a "happenin'" place now! I can just imagine you working there with your new machine! YOU GO GIRL! xxxooo
